South West France Wine
To the south of the city of Bordeaux is a tapestry of small wine appellations producing a wide range of wine styles using both red and white grapes. In Cahors they produce earthy reds made using Malbec, whilst in Jurancon they create unctuous sweet wines with Petit Manseng. Both Madiran and Pacherenc de Vic Bihl Sec both exist in the same space with the former being used on the labels of their red wines and the latter for their whites. This is a region that offers fantastic value for its diverse catalogue of fine wines.
