La Chapelle de Haut Bages Liberal
Description
La Chapelle is the second wine from Château Haut-Bages Libéral and is made from the estates younger vines. It offers a fruit-forward, accessible style of Pauillac perfectly suited for early drinking. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%), the wine is matured for 12 months, 60% in barrels (with 20% new oak) and 40% in amphoras and ovoid tanks. Deep purple in colour La Chapelle displays fresh fruit aromas with notes of cassis, blackberry and liquorice. On the palate La Chapelle de Haut-Bages Libéral expresses flavours of juicy cassis and blackberry as well as discreet hints of liquorice and chocolate with a long supple finish.
