Disznoko Tokaji Furmint Late Harvest

Tokaji Furmint Late Harvest

Classified First Growth, Disznóko is one of the greatest single vineyards in the Tokaj region. Since 1992, under the leadership of AXA Millesimes (owner of legendary estates like Château Pichon Longueville in Pauillac, Château Suduiraut in Sauternes and Quinta do Noval in Portugal), Disznóko has been in the forefront of the renaissance of the true original style of Tokaji wines, seeking absolute purity of the fruit, freshness and great balance combined with the power and the depth of the botrytised grapes.

The 150 ha (370 acres) of the estate, in the foothills of Hungary's Zemplen Mountains, are dominated by a volcanic clay soil and planted with the traditional local varietals of Furmint and Hárslevelu. The new Disznóko winery together with its deep underground cellars, carved into the rock, combines state-of-the-art technology with age-old local tradition; it is also one of the finest examples of today's modern architecture in Hungary.

Yellow gold. It is bright and clean. The aroma is pure and complex in which fine aromas of exotic guava and passion fruit tones complete with melon, honey, apricot and vanilla. On the palate there is a medium sweetness and a touch of acidity.
