Zenit, Tornai
Description
Zenit is an early ripening Hungarian white grape variety, a cross between Bouvier and Ezerjo. The grapes were harvested on 27th August, a short cold maceration follows. Wines are made in a reductive manner, all in stainless steel and bottled under stelvin to produce a very clean crisp fresh style of wine. Very inviting, really fragant nose with aromas of nectarine, mint and a touch of summer blossom. Zippy acidity gives good freshness and balance to the wine which has a pleasantly surprising weight on the palate. Peach, wet-stone and a spicy finish, an intruiging and unique wine. Try with smoked oily fish, mackerel, beetroot and horseradish salad, or with fresh and pickled vegetables.
