Pinot Gris Rotenberg, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht
Description
Straw yellow color. The nose combines a very fruity aromatic (yellow fruits, peach, apricot, quince...) but also a presence of citrus aromas, characteristic of limestone soils. The touch of mouth is precise and right, with an acidity which confers a tense and tight structure to the wine. We find a lot of pleasure in the finish when the wine finally opens up. The fruity aromatics are amplified but the wine remains rigorous, very dry, and the acidity brings a sharpness and tension that is rare for this variety. This Rotenberg 2020 is impressive in its gustatory pleasure and energy.
